Dialogue in Writing

"I will speak daggers to her, but use none" - Shakespeare. How powerful is your dialogue?

When an agent or editor receives your manuscript, he or she will frequently turn to a passage of dialogue first. Why? Because this is the fastest way to tell how well you write.

Not only are they checking to see if your dialogue sounds believable, realistic, and dynamic, but they are also using it as an indicator of the quality of your book.

If you could strengthen any one aspect of your writing, make it dialogue. There is simply no better way to improve your book.

Take this opportunity to improve your dialogue. This will make the editing process even easier.
